In short

FuryMail collects nothing and sends nothing to its developer. The app connects straight from your Mac to the mail servers you chose. There is no FuryMail server in between, no account to create with us, no analytics and no advertising.

What stays on your Mac

• Messages and attachments, in the app's local storage
• Mailbox passwords and Google tokens, in the macOS keychain
• Settings, signatures and your blocked-sender list
• Addresses collected from your own correspondence, to suggest recipients

All of it is removed when you delete the app.

Where data goes

Only to the mail servers whose addresses you entered yourself, in order to receive and send mail. When you connect Gmail, the exchange happens directly between your Mac and Google.

If you switch on remote images, opening a message may fetch them from the sender's servers, as in any mail client. That can be turned off.

Google user data

Signing in to Gmail uses Google OAuth 2.0 and runs in your browser on Google's own pages. FuryMail never sees or stores your Google password. The app requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify scope, which it uses solely to provide the mail client's own features: reading your mail, sending mail you write, and changing message state — read/unread, starred, archived, spam, trash.

FuryMail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained through Google APIs is:

• used only to provide and improve the features described above, on your device;
• never transferred to the developer or to any third party, except as required by law;
• never used for advertising, profiling or the sale of data;
• never used to train, fine-tune or evaluate generalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models;
• never read by a human, since no copy of it ever leaves your Mac.

Access tokens are stored in the macOS keychain. You can revoke FuryMail's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by removing the account inside the app, which deletes the stored tokens.

macOS Contacts

Access to Contacts is requested only if you switch on address suggestions from them. Contacts are read on your Mac and are not sent anywhere.

Analytics and advertising

There are none. FuryMail contains no counters, trackers or ad modules, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data about them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it.
